In New  England the weather is extremely unpredictable. It will change unexpectedly. Without a warning, bright sunny days can change into heavy down pour, freezing rain, and/or gusting snow.

New England's tough trails are very similar to the climate, very

unpredictable. Once you turn off the pothole filled streets, you

might encounter wash outs ,sand ,deep mud ,rocky climbs, and

steep descents, all while on the same trail.

Most average 4x4s would have trouble in these conditions, but we know our Land Cruisers are up to the task. Whether a full restoration or a basic tune-up, you can be assured that New England Land Cruisers will work with you one on one to keep your legend of the past prepared for the future.

In 1634, Samurai Heikuro Magaki astonished a crowd when he rode his horse up the steep steps leading to the Shinto shrine on top of Mount Atago, the highest mountain in Tokyo. After reaching the top , Heikuro broke off a branch of ume and brought it back down to the third shogun of the Tokugawa Shogunate.

In July of 1951, test driver Ichiro Taira was trying to impress a

very different group of spectators. Inspired by Heikuro's legendary

climb , Ichiro ended the demostration of the BJ's abilties by

ascending the steps of the Fudo temple in Okasaki city.

These spectators were suitably impressed. Impressed enough that in 1954, after two years of planning and negotionations, the first 298 Toyota Jeep BJs were produced for the Japanese National Police Reserve Forces.

In 1954 Toyota responded to Willys Company claim that their trademark was being violated by changing the name of Toyota Jeep BJ into "Land Cruiser".

While the driveway at my parent's house was being redone, we started working on our own cruisers out of small back of room at a freinds car lot. A few of our freinds had cruisers and they started bringing them by for work. Other people began admireing the trucks and they began to bring us their cruisers too. The bussiness began to grow and we never looked back.

Our family and freinds have had cruisers since the early 70s and as kids we never dreamed we would have the best job in the world.... building cruisers.
